Nori needs a UX designer who can meet the product requirements and user needs, and turn them into something the engineering team can build.
I believe I’m your designer to fit that job.
As a recent graduate with a history of working with environmental nonprofits, I have a confidence in creating environmental solutions while still thinking of potential impacts on more than just the user. I’m eager to figure problems out, especially when it involves deep diving into research to understand the context and deciding on the solution appropriate. Couple that with my experience growing up on a farm, I’d be a perfect addition to the product team helping to design the interfaces for farmers to emroll their carbon sequestering projects.
My previous work is highly related.
I’ve created several design systems before, such as the one I used and crafted into a UI Kit that allowed the rebooted PanAm’s site to look consistent across multiple screen sizes and devices.
I’ve built a number of prototypes that I was able to get users to test. The findings were then used to refine what worked in the design, and either rework or throw out what didn’t. You can see the Chase Bank feature prototype I made here.
Why hire me to design for Nori?
Outside of design I’ve also been a research assistant, and enjoy conducting user focused research when working on design projects.
With past experience in scripting in different programming languages, I’m able to talk with engineering and bridge the gap between product and engineering teams.
As a new designer, I am both filled with a drive to do the best work possible, while still knowing when a question is better to be googled or to ask a PM about it.
